The original portico was carefully taken down and this stunning four column portico built in its place in Hale Barns, Cheshire.

Stone type: Witton Fell. The concrete footing was cladded over with 50mm stone slabs. Stones on the edge of the porch have a 50mm bullnose.

This portico was part of a new build house, each stone was dowelled together. Some of the stones weighed 1.5 tonnes. The centre stones where supported with stainless steel corbel plates which were bolted to a steel I beam in Hale Barns, Cheshire.

James Stone Masonry subcontracted to a larger stone company to help create this stunning development in Walker Fold near Clitheroe.

The repair system was a coloured lime mortar shaped and textured to the surrounding stone at the Priory, Cheadle, Cheshire.
